Bratislava through my lens

Pedestrian bridges in Bratislava. Black and white photos
Pedestrian bridges in Bratislava. Black and white photos

I know, maybe entering this page you would have expected photos of the castle or the Danube or maybe both. You will certainly find some but walking around the city you will also discover that there are so many wonderful unexplored corners that, before coming here, you have not even imagined

I came here for the second time in my life (the first one was passing a few hours) to take pictures and I stayed on these bridges for a long time! During the day, at night or at any time something intrigued me: a traffic light, a person running or maybe cars leaving the paths at night ...

Night trails of cars ... long exposure

And after these pastimes we can move on to the more serious photos waiting for the real ones that I will be able to publish in a few days ...
I will have passed it dozens of times in the days I was in Bratislava in September and yet I had never noticed these gardens and the palace.
Yet they are great.

A very important thing that I have learned while traveling and, lately, taking photographs: if you want to discover every corner of a city you don't know you have two options:
1- let yourself be accompanied by a local friend
2-stop for a long time and walk a lot

I think I saw this tunnel somewhere and I never found it in days and days of walking ... and yet it was only a few meters away from me ... it was enough to pass in front of it again

Eventually (but I will continue over the next few days), each day ends with a sunset and many trips end at the station ...
It's always nice to come here ...
Very sad to leave ...

As I said, I will add photos whenever I can or after a few trips ... This photo was very heartfelt because it represents city life ... Tourists arrive, put their luggage in the hotel and run to see the monuments .. A good photographer should be able to observe everything, immerse himself in everyday life and extrapolate every moment ...
here it is

One of my favorite photos that I managed to take these days here in Bratislava. A glimpse of the historic center seen from above, precisely from the 6th floor of the Radisson Hotel from which I was able to take some very special photos.

Two views of the city from the Slavin memorial. From here you can see much of Bratislava from above and, of course, photograph it

And finally another view of the whole of Bratislava with the old part of the old town and the more modern one with the new skyscrapers in the distance ...
If you walk a little around the castle you can enjoy this view ... At night it is truly unique!
Not to be missed
